Make a Difference Day 2008 | Keep Polk Beautiful

On October 25 we had Make a Difference Day and also coordinated it with our first Rivers Alive. Though we don't have any rivers in Polk County, we do have several creeks, and some of them definitely needed attention! Check out the Events/Projects page under Make a Difference Day for more info. City manager, Tommy Engram, and city council member, Scotty Tillery, worked as hard as anyone that day to help clean up both creeks!

Goodyear Elementary held their Make a Difference Day that Friday and it rained! So the students cleaned up the INSIDE of the school!

Goodyear Elementary Junior Beta decided to have their Make a Difference Day on Friday, Oct. 24. Well.... it rained cats and dogs! But they didn't let that discourage them! They got out and made a difference INSIDE THE BUILDING! These students dusted shelves and cleaned up inside their school and made a real difference to teachers, staff and students alike! Way to go!
