THE GREAT AMERICAN CLEANUP is an annual event that runs from March through May, and is a time for the entire nation to get involved in spring cleaning, recycling, and beautification efforts! Keep America Beautiful sponsors this event annually and affiliates across the nation have a variety of activities all spring.

The Wartville Wizard program is a litter prevention educaiton program we present in the 3rd grade throughout the county, where volunteers present a story book in DVD form and then discuss ways to prevent litter in their own community. This is scheduled at each school's convenience. Talk to KPB if you'd like to volunteer.
The Great American Cleanup for Keep Polk Beautiful each year can be a litter cleanup, grafffit paintover, or beautification project, or sometimes a combination. In 2010 and 2011 we assisted with building 2 Outdoor Learning Centers at Van Wert and Eastside Elementary Schools! Many volunteers are needed for this event and you can help in many ways! |
