Local (Polk County, Georgia) Recycling

Polk County has 6 convenience centers where a variety of recyclables can be dropped off. Locations are:

Cedartown: Davis Rd (behind Home Depot), Canal St., U.S. Hwy 27 S   Rockmart: Baldwin Cut (old Atl hwy), U.S. Hwy 278 E    Aragon: Prospect Rd

Metal: all scrap metal and aluminum   Cardboard and Paperboard: corrugated cardboard and cereal box type paperboard   Mixed Paper:mail, telephone books, magazines, office paper   Plastic: #1 and #2 bottles only   Used Motor Oil     Computers & electronics: accepted at Baldwin Cut and Canal Street locations only

Wipe Out Wireless Waste is a campaign to recycle used cell phones and generate proceeds for community improvement and revitalization projects through Keep America Beautiful such as public land / waterway cleanups, tree and flower plantings, and recycling efforts. With over 200 million wireless phone customers in the United States, the need to keep cell phones (which contain materials that are toxic to our environment) out of our landfills is more important than ever.
